STATEMENT OF FAITH

1.     We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God as originally given. Therefore it is infallible, inerrant, and is the only complete, final and perfect rule of faith and life. ( 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:20-21; 1 John 4:1).

 2.     We believe in one God who has eternally exist as three distinct persons; The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. They are all equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption and God’s glory. ( Deu. 6:4; Matt 28:19; 1 Tim. 2:5).

 3.     We believe that Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a Virgin, died and rose again. He is fully God and fully man and possessed all of the attributes of God during his incarnation, including omnipotence and omniscience, and at no time did He cease being God or gave up any of His attributes. ( John 1:1; Phil 2:5-8; John 10:30)

 4.     We believe in accepting the literal teaching of the word. Therefore every declaration is to be taken in its primary, ordinary, literal and its most obvious meaning unless the facts of the context and well-defined laws of language clearly indicate the terms either to be symbolic or figurative and not literal.

 5.     We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death which is separation from God. Furthermore, we believe all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach the age of moral responsibility, are sinners in thought, word, and deed. (Gen 1:27; 3:1-24; Rom 5:12)

 6.     We believe, according to scripture, that Jesus Christ died for all of our sins; past, present and future. Therefore those who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and will not suffer any future form of punishment or banishment. We further believe salvation of sinners is wholly an act of grace and all who believe by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become Children of God. (John 3:16; Eph. 2:8,9; Heb 9:28; 10:12)

 7.     We believe in the eternal security of the believer; that it is impossible for one born into the family of God ever to be lost. (John 6:37; 10:27-29; Jude 24)

 8.     We believe there has always been one way of salvation; faith in God. This is to assert that there is but one way to be saved and that is by the power of God made possible through the sacrifice of His son. We further believe there has always been one message of the gospel; death, burial and resurrection of Christ and any other gospel is anathema. (Rom 4:3; John 14:6; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Gal 1:6-8)

 9.     We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into Heaven and His present life there as High priest and advocate. (Matt 28:6-7; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Cor. 15:12-20; 1 Peter 3:22)

 10. We believe in “that blessed hope” which is the imminent, personal, pretribulational, premillennial return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Christ will bodily return in the clouds of the air to catch away the church-age believers in Christ. We further believe that all believers would reign with Christ during the millennial reign with Christ in the Kingdom (John 14:1-3; 1 Cor. 15:51-58; 1 Thess. 4:13-18).

 11. We believe in the literal fulfillment of prophecies and promises of the scripture that foretell and reassure the future regeneration and restoration of Israel as a nation. We further believe that the church is not Israel and has therefore not replaced it.

 12. We believe that there are two resurrections; first (life) and second (judgment). Believers will partake in the first resurrection, although in different phases, where they will enjoy everlasting blessedness, while unbelievers will partake in the second resurrection where they will suffer everlasting punishment. (John 5:29; Rev 20:15, 2 Thess 1:7-8).

 13. We believe that the scriptural ordinances of the Church are: baptism (immersion) and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism should only be administered to believers as a symbol of their belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. This ordinance does not save anyone. Likewise, the Lord’s Supper, which is a memorial, should only be partaken of by believers to show forth His death, till He comes. (Acts 8:38-38; Rom. 6:3-5; Matt. 3:15-16)

 14. We believe that the modern religious trends of liberalism, neo-orthodoxy, new evangelism, ecumenicalism, and the charismatic movements are erroneous. We further believe that speaking in tongues, healing as a gift, or the second blessing of the Holy Spirit is not applicable or scriptural for the church today.

 15. We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. We further believe that God has commanded that no sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. Therefore, any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversion of God’s gift of sex. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5, 13; Rom 1:26-29).

 16. We believe the over-arching theme in all of scripture is the glory of God.
